U11 Tackle (Formerly Atom)

This is the first division that introduces tackle football to players. The game is played on a smaller field, with only 6 players on the field per team. The focus will be on developing basic football skills, fundamentals and team work while staying active and having fun.

Eligibility: 8-10 years of age, must turn 8 but not turn 11 in the calendar year. Open to all genders. (Birth years of 2014, 2015 & 2016)

Practices: Practices for the Fall season begin the first week of August and are held at W.P. Wagner School field, 6310 Wagner Road NW.

Games: One game per week, in the City of Edmonton and surrounding areas.

Season: Season game play begins in late August and continues to the end of October.

Equipment

Equipment provided as part of registration fees:

• Helmet
• Mouth Guard
• Shoulder Pads
• Game Pants & Knee Pads
• Practice & Game Jerseys
• Game Socks

Mandatory Equipment - NOT PROVIDED

• Football Cleats (or acceptable rubber cleat alternative) - No metal cleats
• Football/Sports Girdle (with Hip, Tail Bone and Thigh pads) - this can be purchased from the club for $50.00
