The clubhouse is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00 to 8:30 pm for Atom, Peewee and Bantam registration starting in early April until September 15. We only accept registrations for your child via our online registration portal. Detailed registration information can be found on the pages found under the Registration menu.

Midget season registration will be available in January of each year and will close on April 15.

Camps

New players at the Atom, Peewee and Bantam levels are encouraged to register for the spring Skills Camp and use this as a low-cost introduction to the game of football.

Returning players are also encouraged to register for the spring Skills Camp to take advantage of the additional teaching and conditioning opportunity.

The Regular Season

The Capital District Minor Football Association season for the Midget level generally runs from early February to mid May. Practices will begin in early February, with regular season games beginning in early April and ending by mid May. Practice and game schedules will be posted as they become available.

The Capital District Minor Football Association season for Atom, Peewee and Bantam levels generally runs from late August to late October.  We will begin holding practices at the beginning of August in preparation. Playoffs at the Peewee and Bantam levels potentially run from late October into November. Practice and Game schedules will be posted as they become available.

Fundraising

Through the hard work of many dedicated volunteers over many years, the Edmonton Chargers Football Club is able to provide our players with many significant benefits. We have a large selection of high quality equipment with sizes to fit all of our players. We believe in team building activities and bus our Peewee, Bantam and Midget teams to and from all away games. After moving our clubhouse to our current facility, player dressing rooms are currently not available - we are planning on constructing these in the future.

As you can imagine, maintaining all of this costs a significant amount of money. We work hard to keep registration fees at the lowest possible level but the money has to come from somewhere. That somewhere is primarily through fundraising activities.

As a Charger parent you will be required to perform some of these fundraising activities. Your required commitments vary depending on the team your child or children play for.

  • Bantam: 4 fundraising activities per player
  • Peewee: 4 fundraising activities per player
  • Atom: 3 fundraising activities per player

You can find more information about our fundraising activities on the pages found under the Volunteers menu.
